"Drifting Smoke" is oil on unframed plywood measuring 20 x 17 inches and depicts a vision seen in one of David's many meditations. David's Great Grandmother was a Native American Sioux, and, as a result, David often finds himself romanticising about his origins and what his ideal location to live would look like. On this occasion, he saw a log cabin with smoke drifting along a valley, and a river in full spate as it flowed down the foothills of a range of mountains at sunset.
