Cupping The Ring
Oil on Board - 10 x 10. A new technique that Torrin tried, inspired by Neolithic cup and ring marks,(found predominantly in Kilmartin Glen, Argyll), producing vivid colour and contrast with swirls of oil paint in the form of cup and ring marks. The colours and swirls were used to represent Orkney's most famous Neolithic landmark, the Ring of Brodgar. Included in initial show of works as part of Orkney Mix, Waterfront Gallery, Stromness, 6th May 2019 to 28th September 2019.
